I paint domestic scenes and objects – sunflowers, tablescapes, chairs – in bold, energetic color because these are the things we live with every day.

Working instinctively in acrylics, I’m drawn to how color can shift the energy of a space. There’s something liberating about art as a way to bring color into your home – it’s not as permanent as painting a wall or buying a sofa. Paintings can move, be swapped out, change with you. They’re a flexible way to experiment with boldness and see what resonates.

I work in series – 100 sunflowers, 100 chairs – because repetition reveals endless variation. The same subject becomes completely different with each iteration. Like the sunflower that regrows season after season, there’s something resilient about returning to a subject again and again.

My process is intuitive. Images and color combinations appear in my head and won’t leave until I paint them. I don’t overthink it – I just paint what wants to exist. Blue and yellow and pink and green, energetic brushstrokes, subjects that feel familiar but alive.

I want people to sit with their morning coffee next to my work and feel happy they chose it. That’s it, really. Color that makes you smile, work that feels like you.
